The name of FuncPhysio

The name “FuncPhysio” is a combination of “Functional” and “Physiology”, which means the body’s functions. The name was chosen to convey the message of “living with a functional body” by combining these two words.

Company Slogan

“Health for Life, Play for Life” 〜A body that can keep up until the age of 100〜

We help your healthy aging to achieve an active lifestyle even in your >80’s without painkillers and surgeries.

philosophy

We help your recovery through comprehensive assessment, skilled manual therapy, a customized exercise program, and specific lifestyle modification. Our expertly-trained physical therapists provide full 60-minute, individualized, 1-on-1 treatment sessions. We keep you in the loop every step of the way to not only help you feel better, but also achieve your highest level of function possible, regardless of the complexity of injury, symptoms, and/or your doubts in your own ability. We will pinpoint the root cause of your injury or dysfunction and guide you towards the most effective solution. Our treatment places a primary focus on manual therapy and education. We also teach our clients to take personal responsibility and invest in their own health by assisting in the development of a consistent daily exercise regimen to maximize results.

Multidisciplinary Integrative team

Multidisciplinary team integration has been widely recognized as the primary approach to providing comprehensive and holistic care for patients. At FuncPhysio, we collaborate with a range of healthcare professionals, including dentists, optometrists, podiatrists, acupuncturists, and others, to address various aspects of patient well-being. By addressing posture, autonomics, mechanical stresses, and mental stresses in a coordinated manner, we aim to deliver comprehensive care that addresses the multifaceted needs of our patients.

Integration of Japanese Eastern Medicine and Western Medicine

The backgournd of Japanese Eastern Medicine make us a unique way of treating patients. Both Eastern and Western systems of medicine have their concepts and approaches to health and healing, and combining their strengths can potentially provide comprehensive and holistic care to patients.

The integration of these two systems can offer several potential benefits:

  1. Western Medicine’s diagnostic tools and interventions can be complemented by Eastern Medicine’s focus on overall well-being, balancing the system, and preventive care.
  2. Integrating Eastern and Western approaches allows for a wider range of treatment options. Complementary treatment options provides not only symptomatic and diagnosis based care, but also systemic approach, preventive measures, enhancing the overall effectiveness of treatment
  3. Integrative medicine allows healthcare providers to tailor treatment plans to individual patients, taking into account their unique needs, preferences, and medical conditions. This personalized approach can lead to more effective and patient-centered care.

Providing the integration of Japanese Eastern Medicine and Western Medicine at FuncPhysio holds promise for comprehensive, patient-centered care that combines the strengths of both systems.
